Online shopping..yay or nay?

I'm a huge fan of making hair-buns and so i got tempted into buying this 'Bun maker' everyone is You tube-ing about!:)

*I was hoping to get one like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aG5rCqpILY&feature=BFa&list=ULdlORltrnXw8

I ordered it from a local online shopping website (in Pakistan)on a discount Eid offer for 550/-Rupees instead of the original 900/-Rupees,minus the shipping charges!I'll come later to the point  where i have to tell you whether it was worth all that money or no!

Ohhh how i was waitinggggg for my pair of 'Bun Makers' to arrive at my doorsteps!*excitement*
The courier took ages to find our place : /

I could just imagine myself with awesome bun-buns-buns from now on!!

and i got an ugly small courier box in my hands..oh well...i'm sure the inside is better!
*rip ripping*

Got a red plastic shopper bag with 2 sizes of my bun makers....anything else along?no?That's it?!
Oh well..that's all i ordered, didn't i?What else was i expecting?A huge Box with....Beeeeehold....the MAGIC Bunn makers...the light blinding me in the eyes!!!

LE DELIVERY BOX,
LE RED PLASTIC SHOPPER BAG,
LE BUN MAKERS!

No..none of that light effect happened...my heart sunk..looking at the 2 sponges with some wires inside them.My cat could just chew off the sponge right away...Shhhoooo catty...this is nothing to play with..off you go!

So light in weight!hmmm...seriously?!
Appearances are deceptive Aannii...try the bun maker..You'll look so pretty with your new perfect Buns!
It took me ages to make an ugly one,1st try..it's supposed to be ugly on your first try!
and again!

LE BLURRED VERSION OF  LE MAGIC BUN  WHICH TOOK  ME AGES TO MAKE!

I needed extra hair pins to hold the Bun in place..oh Blame my hair..it's too long!!
I showed mum my 550/- +250/- = 800/- Rupees  Hair bun!!

Mum tried not to laugh,said...It was a nice bun! She'd like to have one of the two!

It wasn't a bun i'd like to make every day for myself , unless i was some air-hostess;) It looked cute with all the You-tube girls!oh..i'd hate to say...it looked aunti-esh in real :(

In the end..i think i just wasted money...I can make my own buns better!!Huuh!

End of excitement!
I think i'll just stick to window(-online-)shopping!

Bring color to your Cake!

Every girl likes to bake..like every girl likes Kittens..and every boy likes Play-Station.No?
At least that's how generally it is supposed to be :)
Anyhow, i really wanted to try a Rainbow cake!I did, and it turned out colorful and bright..as expected!
THE UNBAKED VERSION OF THE RAINBOW CAKE
It made me realize that we,ourselves, are responsible for putting in colors into our plain cakes..opps..i meant..our plain lives! But if you like your cakes plain, with a  bit of chocolate and cream topping..that's not a bad idea either;) Equally good! Some like their lives going on the way it is..smooth with out color.Others want new things around every corner.
All i want to say is that color at times is a good change!

'There is a certain relief in change, even though it be from bad to worse!  As I have often found in travelling in a stagecoach, that it is often a comfort to shift one's position, and be bruised in a new place'  ~Washington Irving

oh, how about Pineapple with cream cake?:)

So i wanted to Blog...

..and i just happened to randomly come across the idea of making my own..finally! :)

*yay*

The monsoon rains are around the corner..and i wonder how many 'Jamans' i'll find lying wasted on the ground in the morning. It might rain tonight! The huge Jambul tree in our backyard attracts alot of attention these days, thanks to the playground for kids behind our yard's wall .In case you're wondering what Jamans are...go to wikipedia!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jambul

and help yourself  with imagining how awesome a purple colored tongue you get after eating a handful! ;) *purple spit* reminds me of  'The witches' by Roald Dahl, where you could tell a witch apart by her spit color...it's blue/purple as far as i can recall.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Witches_(book)

Jamans and the monsoons!
